This is a closer look at the apiary containing the bees from North Dakota. At this point we had already assessed, sampled, and fed all of the hives. Nathan and Rob collected the sample bottles off of the tops of the hives while I clowned in front of the camera with a deer skull on my head...pretty classy, huh?
The bees looked good in this apiary, low varroa numbers, honey in the top super, brood in the boxes, and pollen coming in....We will be back at the end of january just as they move into the almonds to see how the colonies are doing.
