With the hundreds of thousands of King Penguins surrounding us, it is easy to believe that St. Andrews Bay is the largest King Penguin rookery in the world. This savvy traveler is demonstrating a very effective way to enjoy the penguins. If you just sit down and watch quietly, the King Penguins will come over and check you out.
See if you can find the little shack in the field. In the past, folks have used the shack for shelter when they study or film the penguins of St. Andrews Bay.
I have a hint those of you who want to know where I was when I took all of these panoramas. In the map box, click to zoom in using the + (plus) button. After a few more clicks with no data, a really close up map of the area will appear.
