This view is from the Sallyport and looking west towards Fondren Library. The initial purpose of this project was to take a smaller view for panoramio filter in Google Earth; however, because of the sunlight effect, I took a few more photos to make a GigaPan.
This hand-held panorama was taken with my Nikon D7000 and the 18-105mm 3.5-5.6G ED Nikkor lens.
Although the panorama consists of only 12 stitched photos, thanks to the GigaPan Stitcher software, seeing it as a curved panorama on a curved surface via the "View in Google Earth 4.2+" link can be most memorable.
And as always, more technical info can be seen via the Stitcher Notes.

You must be remembering this bicycle in your dreams: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/25030/snap shots/75900/ but it was taken by the M.D. Anderson Biological Laboratories Building where we saw all the fossils imbedded in the bricks. There are no fossils around Lovett.

Isn't there a version of this with a bicycle parket against one of the pillars? We were talking about that somewhere else weren't we? Or did I dream that?
