Description

Sydney Opera House, built upon a former tram station; according to Wikipedia, one of the first buildings to use computer power in its design. The location, Bennelong Point, is named after a noted native Australian called Woollarawarre Bennelong, who was one of the first two Aboriginals to travel to England, in the early 1790s. The other was Yemmerrawanie, who died there.
From this angle the Opera House looks quite small, but it is an optical illusion. The building in the foreground has the smallest of the Oper House 'sails', and is almost a miniature Opera House. You can see how small it is compared to the two main halls when you view the structure side-on: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/70445/
