Montisi is a small ridgetop village (population around 500) south of Florence, Tuscany, Italy. There is one Bed and Breakfast and one restaurant in the village, both of which are highly recommended. The village is surrounded by olive groves (the silver-green trees on the hillside in the photo) and makes for a good base from which to visit Siena, Florence, and the many ancient hilltop villages in Tuscany. Google "Montisi, Tuscany" to find out more. Although you can reach Montisi by bus, getting there by car is the most convenient way, plus the twisty, winding mountainous road to it is a thrill to drive.
