Description

One of my first attempts at a gigapixel portrait in a studio. Consists of exactly 200 images taken with a canon 400d with tamron 18-250mm set at 250mm. Used 4x 400w synched flashheads set on full power which allowed f40 at 400iso. Depth of field was the largest problem I encountered. Taken with a gigapan epic 100. Eventually settled for fixed focus. Model actually lay in an arc so that focal length was about 90cm along entire length. Gives the impression once sticted that lying straight.

Stitched using gigapan stich software but also tried autopano giga. Canon 400d is only 10MP but will try with my 18MP 550d when I get the chance. Many thanks to the model is Emily Gurung. Laid perfectly still for 12 minutes. Anyone know if there is currently a record for studio portrait photography? (or any portrait photography. Would like to have a crack at it.
