This panorama was taken at Dragao do Mar Cultural Center in Fortaleza, Brazil. It is a touristic place planned to promote art and culture. There are museums which show our culture and modern art, art craft shops, theaters, old pubs, restaurants and a big planetarium in the middle of it. This cultural center was designed by architects from our state, Ceara.
Its name is a tribute to Dragao do Mar who was a leader against slave labour in our beaches. Although he grew up in a poor family and learned to read only when he was 20 years old he did many things to stop the traffic of slaves in our region. He was a very brave man.
