Thanks, Not unlike some other GigaPans, this one
also presents a story; from DCleary6's
snapshot: Home Run? I am going to guess from the
nonchalant posture of the left handed batter who
has made it to first base looking to right field
and the rather relaxed posture of the outfielders
explains that number 42 might have just hit one
out of the park to right field. And my explanation
from my observation and the documented facts: 1.
If you look at the Stitcher Notes for this GigaPan
787/ ... scroll down and click Stitcher Notes
... you will see that this 10-photo panorama took
69 seconds to complete]. So, all the action was
pretty quick; in other words, Hicks (42) was
batting and has also just reached first base.
Note: we know that Hicks is 42 from this link: ucfathletics.cstv.com/sports/m-bas
ebl/mtt/hicks_dj00.html From the panorama, we
see that the game is in the top of the 5th inning.
Now go to: www.riceowls.com/sports/m-basebl/s
tats/2010-2011/032711.html and look at the top of
the 5th and look for Hicks ... he singled. The
scoreboard video shows Griffin (33): ucfathletics.cstv.com/sports/m-bas

replied to my email, "What's Happening
Here?" with the famous quote of the day,
"Hrm…Baseball?? LOL." ... which really
sums it up perfectly.

This is a fun shot and quite an achievement given
that all the images were taken in 67 seconds. This
type of image could work well with cricket because
the action is so amazingly slow.
