The source region for the 1907 Lava Flow on Mauna Loa volcano, Hawaii.

Looking downslope. Black lava is 1907 flow. Lighter brown lava are from older flows. Pan acquired from top of an older cinder cone. Rift opened up at the base of this older cinder cone.
