The walls of the railway tunnel in this area (former Van Leeuwenhoeksingel) are done. Excavation between the tunnel walls is now starting. To continue the building process of the tunnel walls, the Irenetunnel must be partially closed. This means that tram lines 1 and 19 can not go through the Irenetunnel for the next 8 months. During this time these tram lines will terminate here. The weekend that this panorama was shot all tram operations in Delft were cancelled to connect the turning triangle and the two tracks where the trams will wait for their scheduled departure times.
After stitching 65 photos together there was one problem where a man was reduced to the lower parts of his legs and his shadow. This was "fixed" with GIMP. Some other stitching artefacts in the far left and right were similarly reduced.
