Comments on Gigapan: Whirlpool Point, North Saskatchewan River, Alberta

  2. Near the center is the oldest living pine tree in Canada...it's been growing there for 1200 years. The mountains in the background are in the Siffleur Wilderness area. The river runs clear this time of year but in a few months will be loaded with silt from the glacier melt upstream.
