The property of Castle Howard in north Yorkshire contains a number of interesting buildings and monuments. This pretty pavilion sits on the southeast corner of Ray Wood. It has been pleasantly weathered in the centuries since its construction in the 1720's. Originally the Temple of Diana, it is now called the Temple of the Four Winds.
If you look around this bucolic landscape you will see other stone structures that deserve explanation., including an unlikely bridge and a wall that is reminiscent of the walls around the nearby City of York.
The 80 images of this panorama were captured with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II and stitched with Autopano Giga 2.

fetching snapshots...

Ella, Our paths have finally crossed so-to-speak. I visited Castle Howard a few years ago during a stay in York, which was a wonderful time for all of us that were there :) This really is a spectacular GigaPan ... thanks.
