Description

This Gigapan shows a floodplain forest area of Riverbend Park which is located in the northern end of Palm Beach County, Florida. Spanish moss is hanging from the large Water Hickory on the right side. The park is the site of 2 battles in the Seminole war of 1838. Both battles were victories for the Seminoles over the U.S. troops. Here is a link to a news article about the battle and the park: www.palmbeachpost.com/news/content/local_news/epaper/2009/03/15/a1a_riverbend_0316.html Will open in a new tab or window
