The Lagua de Santa Rosa is the second largest freshwater wetland in California (behind Clear Lake), and it is considered a 'wetland of International Significance'
This gigapan has a link to the low cost macro rig in position to capture this gigapan: gigapan.org/gigapans/80040/
In terms of imaging, we just need to build smaller and smaller gigapan capture units, or, units to capture smaller things. It is tilable all the way down.
