Here is another seashore rock, located just metres away from a beachfront hotel's facilities. Washed by waves and splash from the open South China sea, it is embedded with barnacles, snails (nerites, drupes, limpets) and other intertidal zone marine life.
This rock is particularly rich with nerites, which are particularly known for their diversity in colour and patterns (phenotypic polymorphism). How many more specimens can you find and snapshot?
