This is a Chicago made Aermotor used to directly pump water. These last a hundred years if neglected, longer if lubricated, and longer still if not shot at. This one has probably paid for itself a few times over and continues to do so. Buy one here; www.aermotorwindmill.com

The arroyo (dry run creek) behind it can easily set the water table at twenty feet or less.
