This is a panorama of Tromsø city as seen from Fjellheisen.

This is a handheld test shoot as I really hadn't planned it beforehand. 200 photos shot using a Canon 550D with a Canon 70-200 f/4 L lens.I used Hugin and Photoshop to stitch the panorama together.

Thank you! Happy you liked it :) I decided not to shoot more sky or water than necessary because I would have quickly lost track of where to aim my next shots. I used a Canon 550D (T2i) with a Canon 70-200 f4.0 L lens. f/6.3, 1/640 shutter speed and 100 ISO. I used Hugin to stitch together parts of the total image. I ended up with seven large parts which I then gave to Photoshop. Photoshop crunched a few numbers then spat out a HUGE finished file of 64.321 by 6927 pixels. Time used: 4-5 hours.

At 200 hand-held images, this is a very ambitious undertaking. I see no evidence of vignetting or stitching errors. Congratulations! It would have been nice to have the image squared-up with more water and sky but I can see why you decided not to spend even more time on it.
