Description

The Sawtooth National Recreation Area has a Ranger Station near here.

I am not sure why the darker smudges appear in the sky. Given time I may go back into Photoshop to see if I can eliminate them.

Also as soon as I can I will try to start to identify the Sawtooth peaks that are visiable. Meanwhile, if any visitor wants to "Snapshot" and give names to features in this Gigapan, please feel free.

terrific shot of this stunning range. These mountains have an interesting texture. For the dark smudges, make sure you don't use auto exposure. Sometimes, though, even when I use manual exposure, clouds get in the way of the sun and do this. -hard to fix.
