Cut site - near Oxtongue River, km 3, western border of Algonquin Park, Hwy 60 corridor
Taken in the 'cut' site. Beautiful day, very few bugs around. Beech and hemlock are missing from this site, but are present in the 'un-cut' transect.
When collected 5 days later, the pitfall traps and the malaise trap experienced some black bear "curiosity".
The tripod is set very close to ghe ground for an insect's eye view - check it out displayed on a sphere using the Google Earth browser plug-in: bit.ly/pMGZi8
