View over Waterkloof as from Fort Klapperkop - Pretoria by Tian Olivier

A "small" panoramic view of Waterkloof taken from Fort Klapperkop, Pretoria. I used an old 35-105 Nikor zoom (used to be my standard zoom on my trusty Nikon F-801s at 105mm). Panned the camera by 5 degrees between frames and tilted by 7.5 degrees between rows. Level of pano head was not 100% accurate and this caused a horisontal S-curve over a much longer pano. The original had a fov of 270 degrees The 'S" was made more apparant by having to take more photos at 105mm - have to be more accurate next time. Nikon D300s was used on manual at ISO 200, 350/sec and F9.5.

Resolution on 105mm is far better than my previous attempts using a 18-55mm lens at 55mm.

Quite a number of golfers on the golf course and Waterkloof Airforce base is also visible.
