Description

Sweeping panorama of Singapore showing the Suntec City area, Marina Bay Sands, Marina Bay, central business district and Boat Quay river front.

- Singapore is located 137 kilometres (85 mi) north of the equator and is a city-state 694 km2 (268 sq miles) in size. This pano was shot from the 42nd floor of the Swissotel Stamford hotel and shows some of the buildings of - - Suntec City, Singapore Conference Centre,
- A great view of the "durian-shaped" Esplanade performing arts centre
- There are seven of the major international hotels shown: Conrad Hotel, Pan-Pacific, Meritus, Mandarin Oriental, Marina Bay Sands Hotel Casino and the Fullerton Hotel
- The 42 story high giant Ferris wheel called the Singapore Flyer
- Downtown business buildings
- Boat Quay river district, bars and food
- FIA Formula One (F1) 5 km (3.1 mi) Singapore race track under construction for the night race. You can see the turns 6, 7 (Nicoll Highway), 8, 9 (Stamford Road), 10, 11, 12 (Anderson Bridge), 13 (Esplanade Drive),14
- Singapore War Memorial
- Parliament house,
- Old high court building
- Singapore cricket club

I shot this pano with a 200mm f2.8 and 2x converter. Would have been better with a longer lens and perhaps using the Canon 7D instead of the full frame Canon 5D
