Description

Taken by Grace Bannon from the group camping area near the Ray Miller Trailhead in Point Mugu State Park, California. The BIObus crew did extensive hand collecting, set up various insect traps and monitored a UV sheet at night for nocturnal insects.
Located just north of Malibu, California, Point Mugu State Park is one of the busiest parks we visited in 2011. The friendly campground host, (thank you Julie!), was invaluable--finding us a campsite even though the campground was (officially) full. The BIObus crew did a presentation/talk for park visitors at the newly re-opened Nature Center.
