Taken by Grace Bannon, from the boardwalk at 40 Acre Lake in Brazos Bend State Park, Texas, USA. So many alligators in this lake. We shone a flashlight into this lake at night and couldn't begin to count the eye shines coming back to us. We did aquatic sampling here, freehand collecting, set up various insect traps and put up a UV sheet at night.
