南投縣名間鄉的受天宮具有南投八景「松嶺遠眺」的美稱, 位於八卦山脈最南端, 海拔約500公尺, 居高臨二水之丘陵上, 展望良好, 可俯瞰山腳下的彰化縣二水鄉全景。

二水鄉的後方, 即往南方向眺望, 是一片帶狀寬闊的濁水溪沖積沙地, 分隔著彰化縣二水鄉與雲林縣林內鄉, 若天氣不錯視野良好的時候, 仔細看, 可看到車水馬龍的彰雲大橋相連兩地。
