When you travel Route 86 toward Lake Placid from the Interstate, after you pass through Jay on your way to Wilmington, this is the first terrific view of Whiteface Mountain. Shot early in the morning of September 21, 2011, this shows the morning mist rising from the valley in the late summer sun.
