Impact breccia at Field Trip Stop 6. These 1.85 Ga deformed rocks near the Gunflint Trail in northern Minnesota are the result of a mateorite impact in Sudbury, Ontario, more than 650km (400 miles) away.

    Wow. This is a spectacular outcrop and gigapan. It would be very valuable if you could add some snapshots showing the critical relationships that support the meteorite impact interpretation.
