You have done well by the GigaPan title, Indian Summer, which is an exact description of this recent occurrence. Wikipedia's link, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_summe r
has
an recent BBC article link explaining to the world
what an Indian Summer is ... it is unfortunate
that the BBC did not know about your wonderful
GigaPans.

Well, it is indeed historic, and the sad thing is that I am not there to enjoy it; however, as I remember, there are not many air conditioners in hotels, except maybe the fancy ones in London. I speak from experience when I say that the Francis does not have AC. Anyway, the info on this unique October weather continues to "pour" in ... this from the DailyMail: tinyurl.com/HotTimesInBath

It seems to me that anything slightly unusual about the weather warrants a big story in the UK. A bit of rain? Torrential Storm Devastates UK! Two inches of snow? BLIZZARD! Could just be a slow news day I suppose.

The Telegraph is reporting that this weather pattern over the UK is unprecedented: tinyurl.com/OctWeatherUK
... looks like you
captured an historical panorama :)

The sky in this and www.gigapan.org/gigapans/88561/ is pretty amazing isn't it?

The best time of the year to visit Bath is in April followed close by September, which this panorama strongly indicates -> excellent weather and small crowds. As you already know, your panoramas exert a gravitational effect on me to return to Bath. The blue sky is surreal.
