Field research site in Strawberry Hill, Oregon. Many marine biology research labs, including ours at the University of South Carolina, work at this site, studying intertidal invertebrates and algae. We have deployed temperature sensors at this site (note instruments in mussel beds labeled with yellow cable ties) continuously for over 10 years to monitor the effects of climate change on intertidal animals (climate.biol.sc.edu).
