Heliport in Portland's Old Town. I took this because of the NOTAR helicopter. NOTAR means no tail rotor. It uses a ducted fan rather than tail rotor blades. Some 60% of helicopter noise is produced by the interaction of the tip vortices of the main and tail rotor. Used by police for patroling. en.wikipedia ....
