Description

Panorama from the Herzogstand mountain, viewing towards north over a large part of southern bavaria. The view includes Munich and Augsburg, where larger buildings can be identified. Even Ulm and Ingolstadt are visible (though no buildings can be identified) .
The panorama was made with a Merlin/Orion Panorama-head. The Head was moved column by column. Its a pity that a positioning error occured in this mode, thus requiring frequent manual adjustment. The Merlin is fairly slow and needs 6-8 seconds per frame at its best. In the meanwhile I have built a servo-based Panoduino (Arduino-controlled Panoramahead), which needs only about 2-3 seconds per image.
