111202 - Costa Rica, Area de Conservacion de Guanacaste (ACG), Volcan Orosi, 700m

It's always something on Volcan Orosi. This morning I left Santa Rosa at 7 and got to the Maritza station on Volcan Orosi by 8 - the three river crossings all went ok and no getting taking the wrong turn like last year (let's not even go there). When I got to Maritza I set off for the 900 m site - but where open to the sky the trail was so overgrown it took me nearly 3 hours to get the trail back. Frustrating. There is now a LOT of marking tape in the forest so hopefully it won't happen again tomorrow. Once I found the trail the baits and traps were set and in the ground for only 3 hours.
