The light was falling fast, and you can tell that I shot in columns and the columns were done in order of left to right (it gets darker towards the right of the photo); but overall it wasn't that noticeable in the transition. I goofed on one part, though, where I blew air onto the lens (it fogged it up for 3 shots or so). Lesson for next time.
The shot was taken right on the lake, which is completely frozen over that time of year. People cross-country ski on the lake this time of year.
