Comments on Gigapan: Stonehenge through a misty sunrise (07:58 AM)

  2. Access to the stones is limited to small groups early on mornings of certain days; Sunday (28/09/08) was one of those days. This is an 8 shot handheld pano, stitched with PTGui taken at 8AM (looking slightly north of east) using a Canon 40D. We live about 45 minutes from the henge so in trying to get the family...

    This panorama is really cool. One of my favorite photos I ever took in England is of Bath Abbey taken about the same time in the morning as what this pano was taken and with the same level of fog. Maybe the best photos ever taken in England are taken before 8AM :)

    Thanks Payam! The weather was really kind that morning - with the limited access to the stones, we only had this chance this year! (That's why I'll be adding a few more shots of the same subject in different lighting conditions!)
