There is a parable in Matthew 25 that speaks of feeding the poor. I believe that these words from 2000 years ago, as well as words from other religions of the world, create a foundation of the rich giving food to the poor and of wealthy nations providing sustenance to the poor nations that are in need.
I am impressed by what Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church is doing and have created this panorama to show others what some people in Houston are doing on the local level to give nourishment ...

This from Dave McGary's website, http://www.davemcgary.com/biography-of-dave-mcgary.htm
On February 22, 1998, Dave installed a 30-foot tall, 15-foot wide monument weighing over ten tons at the Houston Astrodome. The sculpture, “Touch the Clouds”, depicts a nineteenth century Miniconjou Chief who fought alongside Crazy Horse at the Battle of Little Big Horn. The project was announced at a ceremony and national media press conference in February of 1996, where Dave unveiled a 43 in...

To the north of McGown is the Downtown Transit Center station and to the south is Ensemble/HCC station.
As this neighboorhood does not have strong appeal to me, I'm not sure why anyone would use this station except to walk across the street and buy a Cadillac automobile.
This panorama is comprised of 9 photographs, which were taken with a Leica D-Lux 3 camera and was stitched using the GigaPan Stitcher software.
Note: This panorama can be seen in Google Earth as a curved p...

My goal for Monday, June 29th, was to spend the entire morning and most of the afternoon taking hand-held GigaPans of the entire collection of the fifteen current MetroRail Stations along the Redline corridor from downtown at the furthest north station located at University of Houston extending south to the maintenance area station located past the South Loop.
The hand-held option was due to the extreme temperature that Houston has been suffering through for a number of weeks and yesterda...

In this 360-degree panorama, we see a northbound train at the southbound station and past the reflection pool, we can see the northbound station where we saw the two Hare Krishna Dudes: http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=27716.
Because of the nature on the reflection pools and the Houston skyscrapers, we see a dark nature of peace, rest and solitude along the Redline tracks.

It is really nice to have a station here for Rice University, but it is not used that much because the students and faculty have their cars and for people that want to go to Hermann Park, the station to the north would be best for the museums and the next station to the south, is best for the zoo access.
The METRO Rail Redline Stations are identified in the following list:
1.) UH-Downtown
2.) Preston
3.) Main Street Square
4.) Bell
5.) Downtown Transit Center
6.) McGowan

A view looking south towards Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church, an active church in the inner city.
Another view can be seen at: http://www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=29794
Since this church is across the stree from Rice University, I have added it to the collection of Rice GigaPan, which can be accessed via this link: http://tinyurl.com/RiceUniversity
For this hand-held panorama, I used a Nikon D70 with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens and was stitched with the GigaPan Stitcher.
