How many cacti can you find in this GigaPan? (Species, if not individual cactus plants.) Points for the most original cactus and caption. Perhaps a biologist could actually use this for some sort of genuine scientific cactus count? Next, find the hikers. And maybe someone lucky will find the jackrabbit...

An overview of the town of Ajo, AZ on the afternoon of December 26, 2008. Had to pause a couple of times while clouds passed by, but I think it was worth the wait.

This one was intended to be focused on the flora in the foreground. See how many species you can identify. I haven't shot many (any?) self portrait GigaPans previous to this, but since my Jeep was already going to be in the image, I figured, "Why not?"

Man, was it cold when I shot this one. Bone chilling. But worth it. See how much petrified wood you can find.

Piles of overburden stripped to reveal the ore at the Ajo, Arizona open pit copper mine dominate the horizon south of town. They also offer insight into the geology of the mine. The yellow streaked piles near the middle of this GigaPan are composed of some of the sulfide mineral (mostly pyrite) bearing rocks associat...
