Causeway basalts over Chalk
Chalk, chert, and basalt dominate the lithologies of these well-rounded beach cobbles.
Thin, delicate scallop Placopecten clintonious fossils were collected from the Pliocene-aged Sunken Meadow Member of the Yorktown Formation.
