Located in Wells Gray Provincia; Park. BC north of Clearwater. The falls is about 185 feet high and flows into a volcanic gorge. Many layers of basaltic lava make up the colourful gorge. This is the oldest living tree in Alberta. Bow Lake is the headwaters of the Bow River which supplies much of the water for southern Alberta including the city of Calgary. Needless to say, the water is pure and clean having been born in the glaciers just behind Crowfoot Mountain. On the right side is Simpson's Num Ti Ja lodge.
