This panorama was taken on a hike from Fairy Meadows camp to Nanga Parbat's base camp (North Face of Nanga Parbat). I did not have a GPS at that time but the hike shows up as about 5 miles (8kms) in a straight line as measured in Google Earth, must have been double if you include the climb up and down several hills ...
