You get off at bus stop 17 and walk up a gently sloped paved road for 1 mile to get to Mirror Lake. If you walk a little bit farther and go down onto the sand bar in the middle of the valley you can look up at this wonderful view.

Gigapan was tilted at about 45 degrees upward, so this should really be displayed as an arc. You can see the trees leaning in on either side, but they really were standing straight.
