Early morning sun breaks through as the dramatic black storm clouds hang in the west. This is one of the more than 25 GigaPans I recorded on a weekend trip to Southern Alberta. I put on more than 1960 km on the 3 day trip on the Canada Day weekend. Milk River is close to the Canada-US border at Coutts & Sweetgrass.

Under construction and newly completed, it will supply electricity to Northern and Central Alberta. There is a plan to recover a portion of the CO2 and store it underground.

Most of the world's French Dijon mustard is prepared from the crop grown in southern Alberta. The three hills in the background are in Montana, the names are the East Butte, Golden Butte and West Butte. Mustard is similar to Canola (rapeseed) but is grown for it's oil, whereas mustard is grown for the condiment.
