Barley ripens in the August sun as it begins to change from green to gold. There was some slight breeze but I think most of the movement of the grain has disappeared in the stitching process.

There appears to be a good harvest of grain in Alberta if the weather co-operates for the next month to speed the ripening. This year's crop was late being seeded because of the excess spring moisture and heavy snow.
