  4. This is a 14" gun. That means it fires a shell with a 14" diameter. It appears to be just cast randomly in a former San Francisco Bay mud flat. Pretty freaky!

  5. From the roof of n242 - but not the roof of the tower! looking east across the San Francisco Bay at the East Bay hills. It was cold and blustery, and a tall ladder was involved to get here. Snow is visible on the hills - the snow line came down to 2000 feet or so.
