Late fall tree canopies as seen looking east from east sidewalk of Panther Hollow Bridge in Schenley Park in Oakland, Pittsburgh, PA. Dominated by red oak (Quercus rubra), but white oak, white ash, sycamore, and other species present. Good time of year to pick out the red oak from white oak canopies, the latter havin...

This old cabin sits by the road into Wells Gray Park about 20 km north of Clearwater, BC. Autumn colors were at their optimum. I'm also trying to find some history about this cabin as it was built by one of the early pioneers in this area. Using a relatively long focal length I locked the focus on the corner of ...

Near the state line of Massachusetts and Vermont. If drawing a line from the center of top edge to the center of right side, the triangle of top right corner (about 1/8 of the photo) is in Vermont, the rest is in Massachusetts.

Mid October brings out a soft palette of pastel colors at Hemp Creek crossing, Wells Gray Provincial Park, British Columbia. The hill behind the barn is covered in White Birch, Trembling Aspen, Douglas Fir, spruce, poplar and pine. The ruins of the old barn date from the early 1920's.

This was a test -- my first use of the gigapan beta hardware and software. The subject is a pond in the community where I live -- Westgate of Lincolnshire, IL. I particularly like the way the sky turned out, as well as the reflections in the pond. The camera was a Canon PowerShot SD800 IS, and 65 photos were taken (...
