), who was set up immediately to my right, t...-

Torres Del Paine and Lago Pehoe with a full rainbow in Southern Patagonia, Chile. This photo was taken on the second to last day of an 8 day hike around the Torres Del Paine Circuit (around 80 miles including side hikes). I was actually trying to photograph just the Cuernos on the left side of the photo when I saw so...

Gold Harbour is a beautiful sight even without the help of this well-placed rainbow. The name probably came from the iron pyrite, also known as fools' gold, that is found in the rocks here. This is a place of considerable geologic upheaval where the Cumberland Bay Formation rocks meet the Sandebugten Formation rocks. As...

On 5 June 2009, a big double rainbow arched over the Kobe city (Hyogo prefecture, Japan). According to the Kobe Marine Observatory, the phenomenon was observed from 17:40-19:00. A misty rain that started about 16:30 reflected the sunlight from the west side, creating the perfect arch contour. The rainbow was visible fr...

Early November found me about 70 miles east southeast of Kotzebue, standing on the new ice of the Selawik River. The Rainbow Bridge, almost abandoned for three seasons with an ice highway beneath it, was posing nicely for a panorama.
