Our plan after leaving Devil's Tower National Monument was to continue heading west, on I-90 then head toward the Wind River Canyon while making our way to the Tetons. We stopped in the town of Buffalo for an oil change and some food. We picked up some maps and started asking some of the locals where we might be...

We ate lunch in Dubois and met the owner of the Whiskey Creek Saloon. Turns out he i...

Gigapan of two bison herds just off the main road in Elk Island National Park, Alberta, Canada. The bison roam free within the boundaries of the park and can be seen along most of the park trails or blocking traffic!

Nothing quite like a chair lift to get one to a good vantage point! And I got done shooting this one just in time, too - an approaching thunderstorm threatened to shut down the lift within a half an hour of the time I got off the mountain.

This is a popular view of the Teton Range taken from low ridge near the Jackson Lake Lodge. Wildlife are abundant in the meadow in the foreground and you can see Jackson Lake dam and the lake in front of the mountain range. I used a Nikon D5000 and 300 mm lens.

The Sandpiper is a traditional bed and breakfast located on California’s North coast in Elk California. The rooms have a great view of a cove and the surf. A large and lush garden exists on the surf side with a bench or two. This is a fine place to watch the sunset and have a little wine. The rooms here are comfor...
