Part of a larger gigapan that was missing a few images in a couple of spots. I had to split it into 3 different smaller panoramas.

This Gigapan, taken by Grace Bannon (BIObus 2011), shows Saw Mill Pond, a Cypress Swamp/Bayou, from the fishing pier. The BIObus crew set out various insect traps and did extensive freehand collecting here. A UV sheet was set up for nocturnal insects. There were lots of nocturnal Tiger Beetles at this park.

I got up early enough to shoot this GigaPan before the wind came up and disrupted the mirror-like surface of Chapel Pond in the eastern Adirondacks.

Located at the intersection of City Pond Road and Rockwell Church Road, in Winder, GA. After playing around with the gigapan Epic 100 for the last few days, this is my first image that is good enough to upload. Many more to follow!

This picture was taken at a pond near Hausen am Albis and Rifferswil in Switzerland. The pond lays near the famous "Seleger Moor". It'a a place I've often been in my youth because I grew up at Hausen am Albis. Many years ago, at this place, moss has been taken out as fuel. Mosses are protected by law in Switzerland. Th...

This is the pond on the northern edge of our campus of Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), south of Little River Turnpike (Route 236) in Annandale, Virginia. See if you can find any geese, herons, turtles, or other critters in this scene! If you find any, please take a "snapshot" of them!
