  2. I caught a very lucky gap in the clouds that was just long enough to capture the 300 images necessary to capture this GigaPan. I still want to get back and reshoot a couple of the other GigaPans at Capitol Reef, but I wouldn't feel bad if I didn't reshoot this one.

I originally set up for a 750 image GigaPan, but about 200 images into it a cloud rolled in from the west and it was clear that if I continued I'd end up with a lot of frustration and no other GigaPans for the day. Consequently, I dialed back the zoom and shot a much smaller GigaPan when a gap in the clouds allowed it...

  6. Midday or early afternoon is really the optimal time to GigaPan this spot, but I was passing through in the morning. View to the northwest...
