This roacdut exposes a Quaternary large boulder conglomerate beside Lone Pine Creek in the Alabama Hills. Most of the clasts are boulders of granitoids of the Mount Whitney Intrusive Suite.

Horseshoe Park as viewed from Rainbow Curve in Rocky Mountain National Park. Beautiful examples of meandering river features are present along the course of the Fall River. The alluvial fan that resulted from the Lawn Lake flood is also visible left of the center of the image.
