It was taken on 31 of august 2012 year near the "Palace of Culture and Science" . I made it 600+ images. The funniest thing is that i made it without any panoramic device , just only simpe tripod and camera: Olympus Camedia C70 zoom. The resolution of the panorama is 72146x33999 pixels. Overview of exclusive homes in a canyon in the Pacific Palisaides area of Los Angeles, California. The very hazy backlit scene and late afternoon lighting made for a challenging GigaPan. The Similkimeen River winds its way through southern BC near the village of Hedley, once a thriving gold mine. The road climbs the steep hillside to the Nickel Plate Mine which is still in production. Grades are as steep as 15% but the view from above is worth the climb.

This was photographed on a little road north of Rectortown and south of MIddleburg and Upperville, Virginia (U.S.A.). Goose Creek, a locally well-known stream, is just to the left [west] at the far edge of the flat flood plain on the left side of the road. This road is typical of the dirt roads in this area of northe...

Is the fence holding in nature or is it keeping out modernity? I chose Madrona Marsh and its adjacent Sepulveda Blvd in Torrance, CA, to show the balance any city has between preserving its natural surroundings and the ever intruding modern world. Nikon P5100, GigaPan Epic100, 90 images. ©John Post
