  1. Bangor University's School of Ocean Science (North Wales, UK) has its own 35m research ship used for shelf sea research and teaching. 20 images handheld from an open boat with speed matched to that of the ship - on a nice winter morning on the Menai Strait.

  2. Pano taken during a visit by Marine Geology students from Bangor University's School of Ocean Sciences in November 2012. An exposed spot on a windy day resulted in a few stitching problems. The cliffs show spectular fold structures, anticline and syncline. Rocks are sandy turbidites and schistose mudstones.

  3. View from the suspension bridge linking Anglesey to mainland Wales over the Menai Strait. Designed by Thomas Telford in 1826, it had the longest single span of any bridge in the world.

  4. Hand held pano of the bridge at high tide. Britannia Bridge is the second crossing of the Menai Strait, it was originally a rail bridge designed by Robert Stephenson using a revolutionary tubular design. The metal archwork and road deck were added in the 1970's after a major fire.
